The Scene
Inside, it's all high-end alpine lodge--carpeted, hushed, serene. Deck seating is less formal, with a view of Deer Valley's ski and biking hills. Service is top-notch.
The Food
An appetizer of citrus-cured wild salmon carpaccio with fennel, drizzled with rose-peppercorn oil is gorgeous. Ditto for summer vegetable risotto, surrounded with marble-sized onions, petite beets, carrots and wedges of heirloom tomatoes, all in a wide bowl, atop a beet-purple pool of vegetable broth. Moist salmon wrapped in savory veal bacon is perfect with its subtle ginger-infused beet jus. Intriguing beef, poultry, game and other seafood entrees are also offered. The only downbeat is the Caesar salad--not made-to-order and doused in dressing. Skip that course and opt for the sorbets in neon-green sugar tuile with a striped chocolate straw.

I recently dined at Stein Eriksen Lodge with my girlifriend while on a short ski vacation in Utah. Our experience was great from start to finish. The wine list was exceptional and the menu quite interesting. It was a bit on the pricey side but the service made up for it. We loved the red salad and the pork cheeks as a first course. The duck dish is unique and delicious and the filet was one of the best steaks I have had. Desserts were over the top, an unexpected surprise. The Stein Eriksen Lodge is a must for dining in Park City. We'll be back.

WAY over rated!! We expected a nice dinner in a nice atmosphere. We thought the facility was dated and unappealing and the food was worse. All four of us thought our meals were plain and unappealing and over priced. Wine glasses were dirty. It wasn't even worth complaining because they obviously are used to under performing. We will never go back. Park City and Deer Valley have lots of nice places to choose from. Why bother with this one?
Cons: The food.
